StyleYou was proud to celebrate our new pop-up store located in the financial district of San Francisco. We are thrilled to be a part of ‘The Station SF’ at 596 Pacific Ave.
We rolled out the red carpet, popped the bubbly, and cranked up the music to get the party glammed up! For the runway we decided to give our guests a preview of our holiday attire. In our first collection we displayed our day-to-night wear. For our second collection, we unleashed the sparkles in our exclusive party dresses. We showcased pieces from JX, LazyTwins, and Laly designs.
Our lovely guests danced to the tunes of DJ Ge and enjoyed the scrumptious hors d’oeuvres so kindly provided by Chris Dressick of ‘The Station SF’. The fashion show was styled by the amazingly talented Yekaroma Card; assisted by Adrianna Quintero and Brandon Crumley; hair by Brenda Burns and Jany Zheng; makeup by Anastasia and Kristine Rose.
StyleYou was out on the town covering Macy’s Glamorama in the lovely Oprpheum theatre in San Francisco. Glamorama is an extraordinary event that raises awareness and funds for the The AIDS emergency fund, The GLIDE Foundation, and Project Open Hand. We are so please to see Macy’s continuing this magnificent event for the last thirty years.
We were treated with lovely performances from Cirque Du Soliel, The Summer Set, and Sheryl Crow. All of them magnificent in their own crafts.
There were fabulous runway shows from Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel and countless others. We picked up on some trends that we would like to pass on to all: bold paisley inspired prints, quilting details, textural leather jackets.
We are overjoyed to see Macy’s putting so much love and energy back into the community. We applaud them for being such a great force in the world.
StyleYou has been busy out in sunny San Francisco. We were honored with the designation of being the official stylists for America’s Cup! StyleYou incorporated some of our standout pieces and some classic staples to showcase the chic ways to wear America’s Cup merchandise and PUMA merchandise.
Laura Moreno, founder of LALY designs, is an SAP fashion ambassador whose collection is on the My Runway app. She likes that it can help her reach a broad audience, easily compare her “wished for” items against those of competitors and increase marketing via the community of fans.
But Moreno says crowdsourcing does carry inherent challenges.
“People want to be catered to,” Moreno says. “Allowing them to select their own looks and styles might lead to complexities in the number of products that need to be designed and produced.”
Emerging designers who are currently free to be innovative and develop their signatures because they are not yet answering to a corporate board run the risk of being lost with “crowding,” according to Scafidi.
“On the other hand, over time consumers may be more likely to visit a retailer when they feel they have some input into curating the available selections.”

Did you go or are you going to Coachella? Galpal’s my fashion recommendation is simple, layer! During the day you can bare the bikini, shorts and even rock your wedge heels. In the evening throw on some flats and cover up with a maxi dress, long skirt, or long tank. Make sure you stay hydrated, dance, and most important make lots of new life long friends! Check out our festival fashion on LALY.
I was fortunate enough this year to attend SXSW Interactive. Here is my personal feedback on the conference!
1. If you are looking to meet innovative, cutting edge and forward thinking people this is the conference for you! Being my first time in both Austin and SXSW everything was a new experience. Austin was a pleasant surprise and not representative of Texas. It exudes a free thinking more liberal energy as if Haight Asbury crashed Texas. So with both a free thinking energy and innovative crowd it was bound to be a great experience.
2. The networking and learning opportunities were endless. I was able to learn about the next frontier of interactive fashion, women leading the internet, and my favorite style going viral. These were all key sessions for my business and lead by industry leaders with great insight.
3. The challenges with SXSW was that they didn’t plan for such a large attendance and many sessions were oversold and not properly organized. Their shuttle service was nice but they could use more. Finally you have to map out your sessions because they are so far apart from each other. It’s very hard to do anything back to back.
I definitely plan to go next year and the memories and friends I made are more than worth the cost!
It has been 3 weeks since our BeautyBreakThru fashion makeover and I am still remembering what a great time we had. We woke up on Saturday morning on a mission to change Catharine’s life who struggles with cancer. As the day progressed I realized what an amazing and strong spirt she had. Thank you Cortney and Catharine for including me in this makeover experience. Live life to the fullest everyday!
